“People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air, but to walk on earth. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don’t even recognize: a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves, the black, curious eyes of a child — our own two eyes. All is a miracle.” ― Thích Nhất Hạnh
We will spend 2 weeks together exploring Alaska and exploring mindfulness practice. The beauty of the wild will be a constant reminder to come back to present moment and to enjoy this amazing moment.
We will spend the first few days getting to know each other and hiking in Girdwood, Alaska before we begin a 6-day cabin to cabin backpacking trip on the Resurrection trail. We will end this adventure by joining the Floating Leaf Sangha in Homer for a weekend retreat with Dharma teacher Jerry Braza.
