Walking Home

0

Walking gently
My feet are cold
But I keep my ancestors warm
In the living room of my heart
Come sit around the fireplace
We will make room.

Sorrow, please make space on the sofa.
Joy, come dance for us barefoot on the carpet.
Grandmother, I see you smiling,
And it makes me happy.

I walk with you dear family,
With each step.
With each breath, a log on the fire,
A blanket, a cup of hot tea
We have arrived in this wonderful moment,

We are home.
