Wake Up Sydney Retreat @ Australia

The annual Wake Up retreat with monastics will take place in Wisemans Ferry, NSW from Thursday, April 25 (from 3pm) to Sunday, April 28 (to 3pm) 2019.

When: Please arrive on Thursday after 3pm to register and settle in.
Where: “Forgotten Valley Country Retreat,” 54-56 Singleton Rd; Wisemans Ferry NSW 2775
Cost: $300 for food, accommodation and running costs. You are most welcome to donate more. Wake Up Sydney does not take any profits from the retreat and any funds that they have in addition to costs will be donated to White Cloud Meditation Centre.
RSVP: This retreat has a limited number of places that are available on a first-come, first served basis. Please fill out the online registration form and make your payment ASAP to secure your place. Preference will be given to Wake Up practitioners (if you’re not a regular Wake Up practitioner, preference will be given to those within the Wake Up age range 17-36).
Meals: All of the delicious food will be vegan and prepared with love! Please inform Wake Up Sydney if you have any specific dietary requirements/food allergies.
Communication: For the duration of the retreat, Wake Up Sydney invites you to refrain from using social media/internet. If required, you may use your phone to make contact with family.
Accommodation: rooms are twin share (same sex).
Transport: There are no easy public transport links to Wisemans Ferry. Wake Up Sydney will be coordinating car pooling / lifts and will do their best to arrange transportation for everyone.
Working meditation: Wake Up Sydney may ask for some assistance from participants during the retreat for basic set up / cleaning up and cooking.
WHAT TO BRING
- Loose pants for comfortable sitting and modest clothing
- Enough warm clothes. Also clothes for wet weather, insect repellent, sun hat, sunglasses
- Meditation cushion (if you have one)
- Ear plugs and eye mask, if you are a light sleeper
- Shoes for bushwalking
- Slip-on shoes, that can be easily removed for entering meditation hall and indoor shoes to wear inside, where outdoor shoes are not allowed
- Refillable water bottle
- Personal toiletries
